The What If Competition partners with the Conrad Foundation’s Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Award.
The Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Award challenges high school teams to develop their own innovative concepts to benefit a specific STEM area. Students detail their idea in a technical report, a business plan, and a prototype. They must demonstrate understanding of not only the concept itself, but also the business requirements needed to take their idea to the marketplace.
The Grand Prize winner of the 2009 What If Competition will be provided a travel stipend to participate in the Conrad Award Innovation Summit™ to be held April 2-4, 2009 which is final program for the finalist for the Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Award. The Innovation Summit also includes workshops, presentation and exciting activities for the participants. The Grand Prize Winner will also take part in the awards ceremony held in conjunction with Yuri’s Night at NASA Ames.
